The Ari Meisel Blueprint for Asynchronous Coaching with Voice Messaging

Are you a coach, advisor or fractional team member juggling back-to-back calls, endless email threads and to-do lists that never shrink?

Do you find yourself firefighting administrative tasks instead of delivering high-impact guidance?

If you haven’t yet found a coach to help you streamline your own practice, meet Ari Meisel—the coach for coaches. His processes are insightful, inspired and intuitive, and they’ve enabled him (and his clients) to reclaim hours each week with better results.

I’ve had the fortune to get a small glimpse into the brilliance and simplicity of his systems and with his permission I’m sharing them below.

Necessity breeds innovation

So many of us long for a genuine step-function boost in productivity, but our solution is often to tinker around the edges of our workflows—changing one approach here, blocking off 30 minutes there. What if, instead of patching, you completely rethought how work happens?

Ari Meisel’s breakthrough

After a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease forced him to reassess every ounce of energy he spent, Ari Meisel built an entirely new system that lets him run multiple businesses in just an hour a day. His journey illustrates that when your back’s against the wall, you stop doing “more of the same” and invent something radically better. He calls it Less Doing, More Living (https://lessdoing.com/)

Are your current processes giving you that kind of leverage?  Or are you constantly trying to do more?

If his name is new to you, dive into his story—he’s shared it in blog posts, books and dozens of podcasts. He's now sharing frequent tips here.

“I originally built this coaching model around convenience. What I didn’t expect was that it would actually outperform every other coaching format I’ve ever tried." - Ari Meisel, entrepreneur coach, author, & productivity expert

Scale your coaching or advisory practice

Recently I got to listen in on a discussion between Ari and another executive coach where Ari was sharing tips for how to use asynchronous voice chat to reshape the coaching relationship. With his permission, here are a few of the high-leverage ideas he shared—take it to help scale yourself!

  • Go 100% asynchronous for core coaching. Drop the calendar jigsaw—have clients send voice messages in their own time, and reply when you’re ready.  This is the biggest unlock.

  • Prime prospects by selling asynchronously. Conduct your sales calls via asynchronous voice chat so clients “get” the format from day one.

  • Offer tiered packages. Ari’s has 3 tiers:

    • Base tier: fully async, unlimited voice chat.

    • Mid tier: async plus a set number of synchronous hours per month to be used how client wants.

    • Premium tier: larger blocks of live time plus team-wide async access.

  • Ditch hard SLAs on response time. Let clients know they can talk anytime and you’ll do the same. You’ll reply at your discretion—this removes pressure on both sides and encourages more thoughtful input.

  • Use a dedicated voice-messaging tool. Centralize conversations and ensure it’s great at voice messaging so nothing slips through and it’s easy for both side to casually talk.

"This isn’t just about time management. It’s about making relationships possible that otherwise wouldn’t exist.” - Ari Meisel

Implementing just a couple of these ideas can free dozens of hours every month while delivering more focused, flexible support. If you’re a coach, advisor or fractional team member, give async voice a shot—your calendar (and sanity) will thank you.
